In August 2010, SOHO China successfully won the bid for the "Linkong No. 15 Land" next to the Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub. The land is located in the Shanghai Hongqiao Linkong Economic Park, close to the world's largest Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub, covering an area of 86,146.1 square meters, with a planned above-ground building area of 215,410 square meters. It is expected that the total building area will be about 350,000 square meters after completion. The project is named Hongqiao Lingkong SOHO. Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub is a gathering point for modern transportation modes such as aviation, high-speed rail, and subway. It includes 2 runways, 24 aprons, 30 high-speed rails, and 5 subway lines. After all are opened, the daily throughput will reach 1.4 million passengers, which will become the world's largest transportation hub and the most dynamic area in Shanghai. SOHO China will once again join hands with the world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid and invite her to serve as the chief architect of Hongqiao Lingkong SOHO.
